Windham Hospital honors long-time employees
Music provided by the Amphibian Jazz Ensemble filled the room as Windham Hospital recently as it honored 149 staff members who have provided a total of 1,541 years of service over 40 years.
Of these totals, 19 staff members worked for more than 30 years.

Stop & Shop/VFW plan goes to town meeting
Windham’s board of selectmen voted Tuesday to send the VFW/Stop & Shop/Friendly’s proposal to town meeting.
The date, time and location of the meeting are yet to be determined. Selectmen had previously eyed June 22, but it conflicts with local high school graduations.

State bill hopes to close gap for dairy farmers
The state’s $20 million dairy farm rescue effort, which last week passed the House and Senate and awaits the governor’s signature, will attempt to close the difference between what farmers spend producing milk and what they are paid for it based on federally set prices.
