Two local fire departments to help out food drive

Gov. M. Jodi Rell has announced a statewide “Day of Caring & Compassion” on Saturday, Nov. 7.
That is when 15 Connecticut fire stations - including ones in Windham and Willimantic - will serve as collection centers for non-perishable food donations to help replenish the state’s two main food pantries.

CROP Walk to end hunger aids food bank

The Annual Crop Walk to help end hunger steps off from the Coventry Volunteer Fire Department Sub Station on South Street at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 18th.  Everyone is welcome to walk.
