Strong Porter House opens for season

The Coventry Historical Society will open its Strong Porter House Museum Sunday down the road from the Coventry Farmers Market.
Exhibits at the museum, which will be open from noon to 3 p.m. every Sunday through mid-October, will include “Coventry Farms” and “Then and Now.”

Phyllis  May  (Florence)  Usher,  92,  of  Coventry  and  wife  of  the  late  Lawrence  Usher,  passed  away,  Wednesday,  June  3,  2009  at  Douglas  Manor  in  Windham.
She  was  born  October  22,  1916  in  Hartford  to  the  late  Charles  and  Ruby  (Usher)  Florence.  She  retired  after  many  years  of  service  from  Johnson  Memorial  Hospital.  Phyllis  was  a  [...]
